Senior / Legal Risk Manager (LRA-S-LRM)
How to Apply
Duties
  • Regulatory Affairs & Marketing Campaigns: Conduct researches on laws and regulatory requirements; assist in preparing the submissions to the regulators in Hong Kong and Mainland China and support marketing campaigns (including the review of marketing-related materials)
  • Product Development: advise regulatory requirements early in the design process; identify their impacts on the user journey; provide recommendations
  • Policies and Procedures: Work with various teams to do the fact-finding and perform gap analysis on regulatory or legal requirements; propose, establish or enhance policies and procedures necessary to mitigate legal risks or to comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g. contract management, disclosure of information)
  • Risk Analysis and Monitoring: Work with various functions to compile the relevant information and to monitor relevant risks; identify emerging trends and risks; act as a key liaison between different functions on compliance reviews; articulate and report the progress update of reviews for risk oversight
  • Day-to-day operations: assist in dealing with consumer disputes and a wide range of matters and conduct legal researches, as required
  • Ad hoc work: Assist in any special projects or issues, as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law or risk management or related disciplines
  • Seasoned professional with at least 3 years of local or overseas experience in the banking industry or any other financial services industry with exposure in risk and compliance roles. Suitable candidate who is a common law qualified lawyer will be considered for the position of assistant legal counsel (for legal risk manager, 3-10 years; for senior legal risk manager, 10+ years of working experience)
  • Strong project management and planning skills with the ability to multi-task driving projects
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience in working cross-functionally
  • Experience in performing gap analysis on regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of policy, governance frameworks, procedures and practices
  • Great sense of ownership and serving mindset to ensure efficient and effective legal risk and compliance process
